Hi! I’m Shelby.

Shelby has two main passions: making things beautiful and helping people feel seen–and this is what she brings to all her weddings and events.

Shelby successfully planned her first big party (a 40th surprise birthday party for her mom with 30 guests) when she was ten years old, and continued on her event journey from there. Her past experience as a music teacher helped her hone skills of details and organization by planning music tours, fundraisers, competitions, and concerts, all while highlighting the different strengths of her students. She moved on from teaching to pursue corporate events and coordinated a 200-person conference as well as a fundraiser dinner for a non-profit in Chicago before the pandemic hit and changed everything. Late 2020 found Shelby and her family living in England, and it was in Oxford that Shelby better honed her event planning and management skills as the Event Coordinator for the Ashmolean Museum.

Upon moving back to Chicago in 2024, Shelby decided to combine her love of beauty and people to start a wedding and event planning business. She loves more than anything the opportunity she’s given to step into people’s lives and walk alongside them in such an exciting (and often overwhelming) time. Shelby finds her role to be such a blessing–she is able to alleviate her clients’ stress, freeing them up from details to focus on presence, and help execute a day that represents so much more than just pretty things. It is a day to gather those they love the most and give them a glimpse into their love story and lives.
