Hi! I’m Shelby.

I’m passionate about imagining, curating, and executing beautiful and intentional gatherings–the sort of event where both guests and hosts remember it for days & weeks (and months & years) after going home. Events that fill you up and make you feel warm and fuzzy like you’ve just sipped warm apple cider on a crisp autumn day.

My event and gathering journey started over 10 years ago hosting “formal” events in my one-bedroom apartment (picture 15 guests wearing black-tie attire in a small living space) and went on quite a roundabout journey including coordinating events for three years at the world-renowned Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England. Our family moved back to Chicago in spring of 2024, where Myrtle & Sage was born.
